How much fits in a Standard car, when you need the VIP van, and what we do with surfboards.

Short answer
A Standard car takes 4 adults with 4 checked bags and hand luggage. Five or six passengers, or more than 5 large bags, golf travel bags, surfboards, bicycles or a stroller plus car seats, go in the VIP van — the VIP price for your zone is on the prices page. Tell us the bag count when you book: telling us costs nothing, a car that turns up too small costs everyone time.
What actually fits
A Standard sedan or small SUV: 4 passengers, 4 checked bags, 4 carry-ons. Add a fifth suitcase and the boot is already full before anyone sits down.
The VIP van: 6 passengers with 8–10 checked bags, or 4 passengers with golf bags, dive gear or a folded wheelchair. If you are unsure, send a photo of the pile on WhatsApp — we would rather size the car correctly than improvise at the curb.
Sports and special items
Golf travel bags go to Casa de Campo and Cap Cana every week — they fit standing in the van, never in a sedan boot with luggage. Surfboards to Cabarete travel in the van with the rear seat down. Bicycles in boxes need the van and advance notice.
Extra bags on the return
People fly home heavier: rum, cigars, an extra bag of gifts. If your return group is the same but the bags are not, tell us when we confirm the departure time and we send the larger vehicle at the same quoted price band.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a luggage fee?
No. Luggage is included; the only thing that changes is which vehicle we send, and the VIP van is priced per zone on the prices page.
Can you carry a wheelchair?
Yes. A folding wheelchair travels in any vehicle; a heavy powered chair needs the van and 24 hours' notice.
What if we have more bags than we said?
The driver will call dispatch and a second car is sent if it truly does not fit. Telling us in advance avoids the wait entirely.
How do I book a transfer from SDQ?
Send your flight number, date, hotel or address and number of passengers on WhatsApp. You get a written confirmation with the fixed price, and the driver details the day before travel.
Do I pay in advance?
No. You pay the driver at the end of the ride in US dollars, Dominican pesos or euros. There is no deposit and no card charge when you book.
