Travelling with pets from SDQ

Dogs and cats are welcome in a carrier — here is what to tell us before you land.

Updated: 2026-09-11

Short answer

Pets travel with us at no extra charge when they are in a carrier. Tell us the animal and carrier size when you book so we send a vehicle with boot space, and mention it again if the pet is large — big dogs go in the VIP van.

Carrier rules

Cats and small dogs travel in the cabin in their carrier on the floor or a seat. Large dogs travel in the van behind the rear seats. Loose animals on laps are not allowed on highway runs — it is a safety issue at 100 km/h, not a preference.

After a long flight

Animals coming off a transatlantic flight need water and a short walk before a two- or three-hour drive to Samaná or Punta Cana. Ask the driver for a stop; it is included and nobody is counting minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Do you charge extra for a pet?

No. The price is per vehicle; a pet in a carrier does not change it.

Can the pet ride without a carrier?

Small, calm animals can ride on a lap on short city runs at the driver's discretion. On highway routes a carrier is required.

Are service animals accepted?

Always, without a carrier and without notice, though telling us helps us send the right vehicle.

How do I book a transfer from SDQ?

Send your flight number, date, hotel or address and number of passengers on WhatsApp. You get a written confirmation with the fixed price, and the driver details the day before travel.

Do I pay in advance?

No. You pay the driver at the end of the ride in US dollars, Dominican pesos or euros. There is no deposit and no card charge when you book.

Ready to book?

Fixed zone price, no prepay, confirmed in writing.
