How long the driver waits for free, and what a supermarket or second address costs.

Short answer
Waiting is free for up to 60 minutes after your bags come out, and unlimited when the flight itself is delayed or diverted — we track the flight. One short supermarket or pharmacy stop is normally free; a second drop-off address in the same zone is usually $10–15, agreed before the ride, never afterwards.
Arrival waiting
The clock only starts when the bags are delivered, not when the plane touches down. Immigration queues at Las Américas can run 45 minutes on a busy evening and that is not your fault or your cost.
Stops on the way
Heading to a villa in Casa de Campo, Bayahibe or Las Terrenas, most guests want a supermarket stop. Say so when you book and the driver plans the route through it. Long-haul runs include a rest stop anyway.
Hourly hire
If you need the car to wait a few hours — a meeting, a cruise embarkation, a day in the Zona Colonial — ask for an hourly rate on WhatsApp instead of two separate transfers. It is often cheaper and always simpler.

The driver stays. We see the flight status and nobody charges you for a queue you did not create.
Can we stop at a supermarket?
Yes — one short stop is normally free. Mention it when booking so the route includes it.
Can we drop friends at a second hotel?
Yes. In the same zone it is usually $10–15 extra; in a different zone we quote it as a separate leg.
How do I book a transfer from SDQ?
Send your flight number, date, hotel or address and number of passengers on WhatsApp. You get a written confirmation with the fixed price, and the driver details the day before travel.
Do I pay in advance?
No. You pay the driver at the end of the ride in US dollars, Dominican pesos or euros. There is no deposit and no card charge when you book.
