Hotels near SDQ airport for early or late flights
Where to sleep when your flight lands at midnight or leaves at six in the morning.
Updated: 2026-09-11
Short answer
There is no hotel inside the terminal at Las Américas. The practical options are the airport-area hotels within 10 minutes ($20 transfer) and Boca Chica 12 km east ($25), which has far more rooms, restaurants and a beach.
Airport-area hotels
The small cluster around the terminal exists for one reason: a 5 am check-in without a 30 km drive. Rooms are simple, the transfer is $20 and takes under 10 minutes at any hour.
Book these when your outbound is before 8 am, when you are connecting to a domestic flight, or when you land after midnight with children.
Boca Chica — the better night for most people
Fifteen to twenty minutes east, $25 from the terminal, and you get a calm bay, all-inclusive resorts, apart-hotels and dinner options. Crews and cruise passengers use it constantly, which is why our cars run that road all night.
When the city is still the right call
If your flight leaves after 10 am, sleep in the Zona Colonial ($35) or Piantini ($39) instead and leave early. You get a real city evening, and the morning run against traffic is usually quicker than people expect.
