Short answer
Atlantic hurricane season runs 1 June to 30 November, with the highest risk in August, September and October. Most trips are unaffected; rain is short and heavy. If your flight is cancelled because of a storm, your transfer is cancelled free — you never prepay, so there is nothing to refund.
What the seasons feel like
December to April is dry and breezy, the peak season. May to November is hotter and wetter, usually with afternoon downpours rather than all-day rain. The north coast and the Samaná peninsula get more rain than the south.
Driving in heavy rain
Flash flooding closes underpasses in the capital for an hour or two and slows the mountain road to Jarabacoa and Constanza. Our drivers add time rather than push through water; on the long runs we may leave earlier for a departure flight.

What happens to my transfer if a hurricane cancels my flight?
Write on WhatsApp and we cancel or move it at no charge. Since payment happens in the car, there is nothing to refund.

How do I book a transfer from SDQ?

Do I pay in advance?
No. You pay the driver at the end of the ride in US dollars, Dominican pesos or euros. There is no deposit and no card charge when you book.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle, for 1–6 passengers, including tolls and taxes. Larger groups are quoted with additional vehicles at the same fixed zone rate.
