A resort on the wild north-east coast at Michès, backed by hills and reached by a scenic but slow coastal road. It is one of the longest drives we run from SDQ and the last stretch is genuinely rural.

The approach road
Around three and a half hours from SDQ. We take the highway east, then cut north across the country to the Michès coast road, which is narrow with slow sections. The resort has a gated entrance and a reception drive at the end of a private track.

Playa Esmeralda is at the door, the Montaña Redonda viewpoint is about 40 minutes west, and the Punta Cana resorts are two hours south-east.
